Golf Tournament

Event:  Golf, one round.   Men and Women Divisions, and all players will compete in their own age groups:  40-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90+.   Your age is determined by your age as of Dec 31, 2026.

* NOTE:  2026 is a qualifying year for the 2027 National Senior Games.

Where: Cabot, Arkansas

Course:  Cypress Creek Golf Course

Format: 18 Hole Individual Stroke Play (1 Day)

Fee:  $99 per person

  • Includes: Arkansas Senior Olympic Registration Fee, Cart & Green Fee and Range Balls, Lunch, T-shirt and $10K hole-in-one contest.

AGENDA
7:15am – 8:10am Check-In at The Overlook Pavilion.
7:15am Range Opens.
8:15am Be ready at your cart for announcements.
8:20 8:30am Leave for your assigned hole and begin to play once everyone in your group has arrived.
1:00pm – 3:30pm Turn in signed score cards at the Check-in table in The Overlook Pavilion.
     Lunch, Announcements, and Awards and Pictures will follow.
3:30pm – 5pm Clean-up

● Pairing assignments will be made by the event director based on age groups.

MPS Score = Minimum Performance Standard Score needed to Qualify for 2027 NSG Golf
NQ = Not eligible to qualify for 2027 National Senior Games
*Age 90+ qualifying score is based on 9 holes.
Qualifying Requirements for the 2027 National Senior Games (NSG) for Golf can be done in three ways:
  1. Placing 1st or 2nd (Gold or Silver) in your age group by gender.

  3. Or through Qualifying by Qualifying Down. Arkansas has chosen to be an Open State, which states:
● Each participant may play a practice round at any time before the competition. The cost of the
practice round is the responsibility of the participant.

RULES
● The Tournament will be 18 holes stroke play. Handicaps will not be used.
● USGA rules will govern play and local rules will be in effect.
● The ball will be played where it lies and putts will be holed out.
● Triple bogey is the highest score allowed on any hole. If you reach a triple bogey, write it as
your score and go onto the next hole.
● Caddies are not permitted as participants must ride in a cart.
● Spectators are not permitted.
● Coaching is not allowed.
● Pace of play will be strictly monitored, do not look for a ball for more than 4 minutes.
● Range finders are permitted, but must not be in the slope mode.
● All hazards will be played as a lateral hazard.
● Right of the cart paths on holes 9 thru 18 will be considered a lateral hazard. Left of hole 8, the
cart path is considered a lateral hazard.
● Please rake the bunker and place the rake in the bunker.
● All lost balls will be played as a lateral hazard (1 stroke penalty).
● Please do not play in someone’s yard. Those are mandatory drops.
● There is no out of bounds.

In the event of a tie for 1st through 3rd place, the USGA tie-breaking procedure of matching
score cards will be followed as follows:
○ Last nine holes: The total score of the last nine holes is compared between tied players.
The winner is the player with the best total.
○ Last six holes: If the tie persists, the total score of the last six holes is compared.
