https://nsga.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Ways-to-Qualify-for-the-2027-National-Senior-Games-3.24.26.pdf
- Meeting Minimum Performance Standards: https://nsga.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/2027-NSG-Minimum-Performance-Standards-12.22.25-FINAL.pdf
- Or through Qualifying by Qualifying Down. Arkansas has chosen to be an Open State, which states:
● Each participant may play a practice round at any time before the competition. The cost of the
practice round is the responsibility of the participant.
RULES
● The Tournament will be 18 holes stroke play. Handicaps will not be used.
● USGA rules will govern play and local rules will be in effect.
● The ball will be played where it lies and putts will be holed out.
● Triple bogey is the highest score allowed on any hole. If you reach a triple bogey, write it as
your score and go onto the next hole.
● Caddies are not permitted as participants must ride in a cart.
● Spectators are not permitted.
● Coaching is not allowed.
● Pace of play will be strictly monitored, do not look for a ball for more than 4 minutes.
● Range finders are permitted, but must not be in the slope mode.
● All hazards will be played as a lateral hazard.
● Right of the cart paths on holes 9 thru 18 will be considered a lateral hazard. Left of hole 8, the
cart path is considered a lateral hazard.
● Please rake the bunker and place the rake in the bunker.
● All lost balls will be played as a lateral hazard (1 stroke penalty).
● Please do not play in someone’s yard. Those are mandatory drops.
● There is no out of bounds.
● In the event of a tie for 1st through 3rd place, the USGA tie-breaking procedure of matching
score cards will be followed as follows:
○ Last nine holes: The total score of the last nine holes is compared between tied players.
The winner is the player with the best total.
○ Last six holes: If the tie persists, the total score of the last six holes is compared.
